Managing Workforce Attendance Across Events

Event operations require reliable coordination of staff, attendance records and working hours across different activities and locations. Manual processes can make check-in and check-out harder to manage, while inconsistent records create additional work when preparing timesheets.

The challenge was to provide a centralized system for managing event attendance, validating RFID-based check-ins and supporting attendance capture when internet connectivity was unavailable.

The Strategic Approach

An Integrated Approach to Workforce Attendance

August Infotech developed a Django-based application combining workforce administration, event management, RFID attendance capture and timesheet reporting. The approach connected event-specific RFID validation with a browser-based attendance interface. For prepared events, attendance could be recorded locally when offline and synchronized with the application once connectivity was restored.

Engineering a Reliable Attendance Workflow

Workforce & Event Management

Developed centralized functionality for managing users, events and RFID tags, including event-specific tag assignments and attendance records. The application supports administrative workflows and role-based access for managing workforce activities.

The attendance interface validates event-specific data and supports local attendance capture using browser-based storage when connectivity is unavailable. Users must authenticate and prepare the selected event while online before using its offline attendance workflow.

Developed attendance and timesheet functionality to consolidate recorded working hours and support Excel exports for further processing.
